Untitled

"A comma before “and” should only be used when it is starting an independent clause." I am certain this is not true and many famous literary figures have broken this "rule". Where did you learn it? Equinox ◑ 01:52, 11 September 2016 (UTC)

Conjunctions (such as “and,” “but,” and “yet”) only use a comma before them when they start an independent clause. Here’s an example of a site which uses it.

I think that it’s better to follow the rule “Only use a comma before conjunctions if they start an independent clause” than following the ambiguous and inconsistent rule “Using a comma before conjunctions is optional.”

By the way, if there are multiple “and”s in the sentence, and the sentence becomes confusing, a semicolon can be used before the second (third, fourth, etc.) “and” in order to prevent confusion (example: “He went to school and the store; and then he went home”).

You are correct, and I apologize for my mistake. I have moved the entries to a “See also” section. Change it if I placed the section incorrectly.

"Don't title others' posts"

Putting "Untitled" on someone's post is effectively titling it too, if the user did not write "Untitled". Equinox ◑ 19:07, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

“Untitled” should be a standard for all posts that are untitled, since someone else giving a post a title is essentially the same as editing the body of the post. I’m not sure if there’s a policy on this, but I believe that adding a title that’s not “Untitled” to a post is the same as editing someone else’s post, in the same way as adding a signature to a post without using the {{unsigned}} template is the same as editing someone else’s post. {{unsigned}} is a standard for unsigned posts, so why isn’t “untitled” a standard for untitled posts?

Adjectival definition

Greetings. First off, I would appreciate if you could change your signature to use plain fonts. This is not driven by a policy; you can feel free to reject to do this.

More importantly, as for your change in niggerless from "Without any negroes" to "Does not contain any negroes", your new text is not an adjectival phrase and yet it defines an adjective, which is why someone reverted your change. It looks odd. Maybe the font just gets rendered poorly for some reason. Generally, I find signatures using fancy fonts to be less than ideal. --Dan Polansky (talk) 14:51, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

modpack

You say the sense of "mod" is obvious. Not true, because some video games have music in mod (tracker music module) format, and also music modules are often distributed in packs, such as musicdisks. "Modpack" might not be clear. Equinox ◑ 12:17, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
