- Alteration of huzzah. This is however questionable.
- From hurra in German, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian, húrra in Icelandic, hoera in Dutch.
- Used to express approval, joy or victory.
- Lizzie has broken a world record, and she is now an Olympic medallist! – Hooray!
