Etymology

From Middle English schruggen, shrukken, probably of (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "gmq" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E. origin related to Danish skrugge, skrukke (to stoop; crouch), Swedish skruga, skrukka (to huddle; crouch). Compare also Old English scrincan (to shrink). More at shrink.
