Usage notes[edit]

The comparative is wolniejszy for the "slow" sense, while for the "liberty" sense the comparative is bardziej wolny. Similarly, the corresponding adverb wolno is usually reserved for the "slow" sense, while the "freely" sense is expressed as w sposób wolny.
