yobo (plural yobos)

  1. (slang, Australia) Someone, usually a male, who is uncouth, badly behaved and obnoxious. Loud and drunk are also characteristics, but not always present.
  2. (slang, British) A cruel and brutal fellow.

Usage notes

This term is usually applied to fans of sports such as cricket, football and motorcar or bike racing.
It can also be used to describe a tough guy who engages in forceful persuasion or deliberation.
