Etymology[edit]

Inherited from the Ancient Greek συντρέχω (suntrékhō, run together; agree; meet), from συν- (syn-, co-) +‎ τρέχω (trécho, run). The aorist stem δραμ- from the ancient ἔδραμον (édramon).
