Learned borrowing from Ancient Greek ἀναπάλλω (anapállō). By surface analysis, ανα- (ana-) +‎ πάλλω (pállo)

  • Usually in the present and imperfect with stem παλλ-. Rare active past with stem παλ-.
  • Extremely rare passive perfective forms with παλθ- [1]
