ե lowercase (uppercase Ե)

  1. The 5th letter of Armenian alphabet, called եչ (ečʿ). Transliterated as e. Represents an open-mid front unrounded vowel: [ɛ] (but [jɛ] word-initially)
  2. A letter used in Armenian dialectology. Represents the diphthong [i͡e]. Transliterated as ie.
