[edit]Letter
[edit]էօ • (ēō)
- A letter formerly used in Armenian dialectology, nowadays usually written as օ̈ (ö). Represents the open-mid front rounded vowel: [œ]. Transliterated as ö.
Usage notes
[edit]Outside of dialectology, this letter combination is also used in traditional Armenian orthography to represent the [œ] sound in borrowings from Turkic and other languages with [œ] and [ø]-like sounds; for example,
