Usage notes

In the modern judicial system of Thailand, the present term refers to a judicial officer at any court other than a court of justice. A court of justice judicial officer is referred to as ผู้พิพากษา (pûu-pí-pâak-sǎa). Thai judicial officers, irrespective of their courts, are formally called ข้าราชการตุลาการ (kâa-râat-chá-gaan-dtù-laa-gaan).
