[edit]Compound of ธนู (tá-nuu, “bow”, arrow shooting instrument) + อาคม (aa-kom, “arrival”), literally “arrival of the bow (Sagittarius)”; coined by Thai prince Devawongse Varoprakar in 1889.[1]
