Translingual[edit]
Etymology[edit]
A scythe, representing the Roman harvest goddess Ceres. Invented soon after discovery in the early 19th century. The cross at bottom recalls ⟨☿⟩ and ⟨♀⟩. The symbol is sometimes reversed to incorporate the letter 'C' as the initial for 'Ceres'.
