Translingual[edit]

Etymology[edit]

The scepter of the Roman queen of the gods, Juno, surmounted by a star. The scepter took various forms, some rather elaborate, in the 19th century (see Juno for a slightly more intricate example), but soon a combination of an asterisk * and inverted dagger were settled on for typographic convenience.

Symbol[edit]

  1. (astronomy, astrology) The asteroid 3 Juno.
