متعوّد (mitʕawwed) (feminine متعوّدة (mitʕawwde), common plural متعوّدين (mitʕawwdīn))

  1. used to, accustomed to [with على (ʕala) ‘something’ or إنّـ (ʔinn-) ‘doing something’]
    الولد متعوّد إنّه يصحى وما يلاقي أهله بالبيت لإنهم بيروحوا عالشغل بكّير.
    il-walad mitʕawwed ʔinno yiṣḥa w-mā ylāʔi ʔahlo bil-bēt laʔinhom birūḥu ʕaš-šuḡl bakkīr.
    The boy is used to waking up and not finding his parents at home because they go to work early.
