Etymology
Borrowed from Spanish matador (“killer”). Used in the English language as title for a bullfighter, however referred to as a toreador in Spain.

matador (plural matadors or matadores, feminine matadora)
- (bullfighting) The person whose aim is to kill the bull in a bullfight.
