From Arabic تَاج (tāj), from Parthian [Manichaean needed] (tʾg /⁠tāg⁠/, crown), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "OIr." is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. *tāga-. Ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *teg-. Akin to Old Armenian թագ (tʻag), an Iranian borrowing.
