Cognate with Northern Thai ᨷ᩶ᩤ᩠ᨶ, Lao ບ້ານ (bān), ᦢᦱᧃᧉ (ḃaan²), Tai Dam ꪚ꫁ꪱꪙ, Shan မၢၼ်ႈ (māan) or ဝၢၼ်ႈ (wāan), Tai Nüa ᥛᥣᥢᥲ (màan), Ahom 𑜈𑜃𑜫 (ban), Zhuang mbanj, Tày bản.
