Etymology

From สิทธิ (sìt-tí, right) +‎ เก็บกิน (to store benefits for enjoyment, literally to keep and enjoy).

Probably first used on 16 March 1930, when the fourth book of the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand was promulgated.
