Etymology
A borrowing, via other European languages, probably originally from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Spanish or (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Catalan Andorra, a word of disputed origin. The most probable hypothesis is that it comes from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Basque andurrial (“shrub-covered land”), but it is also possible that the source is (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Arabic الدرا (“the forest”) or Spanish andar (“to walk”).
