Etymology

A borrowing, via other European languages, probably originally from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Spanish or (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Catalan Andorra, a word of disputed origin. The most probable hypothesis is that it comes from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Basque andurrial (shrub-covered land), but it is also possible that the source is (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Arabic الدرا (the forest) or Spanish andar (to walk).
