Usage notes[edit]

Elég (as an adverb) can only be used with adjectives and adverbs (e.g. elég szép volt: it was quite nice, elég hamar odaértem: I arrived there quite soon). With verbs, eléggé is required (this latter can be used with adjectives and adverbs as well).
