A compound of ナ行 (nagyō, n-line), 変格 (henkaku, irregular), and 活用 (katsuyō, conjugation).

  1. (grammar) n-irregular conjugation; a verbal conjugation class in which the verb stem ends in n- with the following irregular inflections: a/i/u/uru/ure/e. Example:
