  1. to go (in a conveyance or on horseback)
  2. to ride, to drive
    пое́хать за го́род
    pojéxatʹ za górod
    to go to the suburbs of a city by driving (suburbs are described as something "behind" a city)
  3. to travel
    • Я пое́ду на по́чту.
      Ja pojédu na póčtu.
      I'm going to go to the post office. (concrete)

Usage notes

Поехать and ехать are concrete verbs. Their counterpart, ездить, is an abstract verb.
