Cognate with Buryat хура (xura) and Kalmyk хур (xur), the same word (without the final vowel) is present in Turkic languages of Central Asia, for example Kazakh құр (qūr), these are usually presumed to be Mongolisms, but the direction of loaning could also be reverse.
