Etymology

From the root ص ل ح (ṣ-l-ḥ). Derived from the active participle of صَلَحَ (ṣalaḥa, to be good, right, proper; to be sound, whole; to suit; etc.), from the root ص ل ح (ṣ-l-ḥ).
