Etymology
[edit]Perhaps an aphetic amredita of अना (anā́) (nā́nā ⇐*anā́nā), with the meaning 'in this way and that way, hereby and thereby'. Compare parallel formations इहेह (iheha) and इतरेतर (itaretara).
