Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀲𑀁𑀩𑀁𑀥𑀺 (saṃbaṃdhi, “connected by marriage”), from Sanskrit सम्बन्धी (sambandhī). Compare संबंध (sambandh, “relationship”) and संबंधित (sambandhit, “related”). Doublet of संबंधी (sambandhī).
