Etymology[edit]
From the first two syllables of 猪 (inoshishi, “wild boar”, the 種 (tane, “animal or ten-point card”) of the bush clover suit) + 鹿 (shika, “deer”, animal card of the maple leaves suit) + 蝶 (chō, “butterfly”, animal card of the peony suit).
