Etymology
From Latin septuagenarius (“containing 70”) + -an (“forming adjectives and representative nouns”), either directly or via French septuagénaire, from Latin septuageni (“70 each”) + -arius (“-ary”), from Latin septuāginta (“seven tens, 70”).
