Etymology

Originally shorter form for poikitse, prolative case of the stem poikki-, from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "fiu-fin-pro" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E.. Related to Karelian poikki, Veps poikk and Votic põittši.
