Etymology[edit]

From 2014 TV show X-Change (season 8), on which Wang Jingze said:

王境澤就是餓死外邊下去,(不會你們一點東西 [MSC, trad.]
王境泽就是饿死外边下去,(不会你们一点东西 [MSC, simp.]

I, Wang Jingze, would rather starve, die outside, or jump out of this building than eat food you give!

at first, but after only 2 hours he said 真香 (zhēn xiāng, “really fragrant”) when he was having supper.
