Etymology

From ลิ้น (lín, “tongue”) +‎ สอง (sɔ̌ɔng, “two”) +‎ แฉก (chɛ̀ɛk, “fork”); literally "two-forked tongue"; referring to the feature common to many kinds of reptiles. Compare Japanese 二枚舌; English forked tongue, speak with a forked tongue.

     Reading this news immediately reminds me of those two-fork-tongued people: one [fork of their] tongues is entrusted with working on destroying the opposite faction, the other [fork of their] tongues keeps protecting their own fellows. So, this has resulted in unreliability.
