  1. Added to a verb to form the first-person plural form, indicative mood, present tense, indefinite conjugation.
    beszél (to speak) → beszélünk (we speak, we are speaking)
  2. our (first-person plural possessive form denoting singular possession)
    kert (garden) → a kertünk (our garden)

Usage notes[edit]

  • (verb suffix): Member of the -unk/-ünk suffix cluster.
    -unk is added to back vowel verbs
    -ünk is added to front vowel verbs
  • (possessive suffix): Member of the following suffix cluster:
    -nk is added to words ending in a vowel. Final -a changes to -á-. Final -e changes to -é-.
    -unk is added to back vowel words ending in a consonant
    -ünk is added to front vowel words ending in a consonant
