From Spanish, from Arabic بَيْنِيت (baynīt).

  1. Any of various marine fish of the genus Sarda, that are related to and resemble the tuna.
  2. A large tropical fish, the skipjack tuna, allied to the tunny, Katsuwonus pelamis.
