Galician[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Old Galician and Old Portuguese braadar, from Medieval Latin *balatrare (to shout, to shriek), probably related to Latin balatrō (charlatan), probably from balō (to baa). Cognate of Portuguese bradar, Spanish baladrar, Catalan baladrejar.[1]
