English terms that quantify nouns.

For more information, see Appendix:English numerals.

This category contains only words and phrases that can act as "numerals" in the grammatical sense of quantifying determiners preceding a noun. For example, in "two apples", "two" quantifies how many apples there are. Ordinal numbers do not serve this role. For example, in "the first apple", "first" is acting as an adjective, not a determiner (for theories of grammar that make that distinction).

For classification by semantic role, see Category:English numbers, which includes all English words and phrases that refer to numbers of any kind.
