Proposal

I was about to do some work on a number of demonstrative pronouns, such as add citations and references. However I was extremely dismayed to find this template on every single entry. To be blunt, it's huge, ugly, and redundant. Why create a dedicated entry when the template can write it in multiple scripts, romanization, and then define it? At best this kind of thing belongs in an appendix, not on actual entries. It is so large that it nearly overwhelms the actual entry itself. As a point of comparison, the corresponding English entries do not have anything similar. As a compromise, I propose replacing it with a category for Japanese demonstratives. That way it would be out of the way, but still accessible for those trying to find such information. Further, there are missing entries, so having a category is an ideal way for growth. Reworked

I reworked the table to use a collapsible div, and to use language-specific links (using {{l|ja}}). Tagging the JA text as JA causes different site-wide CSS to apply, and the WT style for JA text is to use larger font sizes instead of bolding. This was ugly and visually confusing, so I just simplified the linked text. Bolding and Template:l-self

@Eirikr: I think the module behind {{ja-r}} didn't have this capability so I've added it (diff). It can now be called using {{ja-r|self=1}} to behave analogously to {{l-self}} (see diff) which is a bit inelegant but gets the job done (see how ここ is bold in both its boxes now). Creating {{ja-r-self}} is an idea too so that the naming scheme is consistent with {{l}}>{{l-self}} and {{m}}>{{m-self}}. Also, I hope you don't get annoyed if I ping you a bit often regarding Japanese; if you do, don't hesitate to tell me and I will stop.
