reor
Latin
Etymology
From Proto-Italic *rēōr, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂reh₁- (“to think”), reanalysed root of *h₂er- (“to put in order”), in which case it would be cognate with Ancient Greek ἀριθμός (arithmós, “a number”), Old Irish rad (“to say”), Albanian radhë (“queue, row”), Old Church Slavonic радити (raditi, “to care for”), Sanskrit राध्नोति (rādhnoti, “to succeed”) and Ossetian рад (rad, “peace”).
