Compare Middle Chinese (MC tsreang). Cognate with Lao ຊີງ (sīng), Khün ᨩᩥ᩠ᨦ, Shan ၸိင်း (tsíng), and Ahom 𑜋𑜢𑜂𑜫 (chiṅ).
