Cognate with Ukrainian пра́вда (právda, “truth”), Belarusian пра́ўда (práŭda, “truth”), Old Church Slavonic правьда (pravĭda, “justice, truth”), Bulgarian пра́вда (právda, “justice, truth, livestock capital”), Serbo-Croatian пра̑вда (“justice, truth, controversial matter”), Slovene prȃvda (“regulation, law, court case”), Czech pravda (“truth”), Slovak pravda (“truth”), Polish prawda (“truth”), Upper Sorbian prawda (“truth”), Lower Sorbian pšawda (“truth”).
