Appendix:Latin script
Definition from Wiktionary, a free dictionary
The Latin (also called Roman) script was initially developed to write in Latin language. Today, it is used in most modern languages as the main writing system. It is also used as romanization to represent languages originally without writing system or written in other scripts.
[edit] Letters
The basic modern Latin alphabet is composed of 26 letters, each having an upper case and a lower case form. (ex.: upper case A and lower case a) Two or more letters may be joined in single glyphs, forming ligatures. (ex.: the letters a and e joined together form æ) Finally, diacritics may be added to letters or ligatures. (ex.: an acute accent may be added to the letter o, forming ó)

More specific information, such as transcriptions of sounds and names of letters, should be found at each appendix linked to the respective language name.
