Here are adjective- and adverb-modifying adverbs. Many of those derived from an adjective "X" can be paraphrased "to an X degree". Degree adverbs are sometimes called elative adverbs or intensifiers. Many degree adverbs have meanings that are identical in this function, with only the weakest of differences connotation carrying over from other senses or from their etymology. Some may modify verbs with about the same meaning. Others may have a different meaning when modifying a verb.
