Etymology
From Proto-Tai *kuːᴬ (“singular first-person pronoun (weak)”). Cognate with Lao ກູ (kū), Zhuang gou. Compare Proto-Austronesian *aku (whence Malay aku, Tagalog ako and Javanese aku).
