Etymology

“to be done repeatedly; as before”
A terminative derivation from (OC *njis, “two”), literally “got to be done twice/again”. Alternatively, from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *s-n(j)aŋ (to follow; to repeat).

Pronunciation
