[edit]This form "戲" is the orthodox form according to the "Table of hanja for personal names" and many Hanja authorities in South Korea including the National Institute of Korean Language, and the alternative form "戱" is recognized as an official variant form (속자 (俗字, sokja)) by the "Table of hanja for personal names." However, "戱" is far more common in actual usage.
Some Korean dictionaries only include "戱" when glossing words containing this Hanja.
