Usage notes[edit]

This symbol is the pre-combined Unicode glyph for the Roman numeral ten, mainly intended for compatibility with large East-Asian character sets. It is used to represent the individual number where individual glyphs are not wanted. Otherwise, the Roman numeral ten is written as the sequence “X” .
